AC Milan and Fenerbahce officials are reportedly set to hold talks over a possible transfer of Rafael Leao, but no deal has yet been reached.
The Rossoneri are looking to strengthen the squad this summer as Ruben Amorim continues to stamp his mark on the group having been appointed as Massimiliano Allegri’s successor.
While we’ve already brought in Mario Gila and Goncalo Ramos, exits are perhaps needed to raise further funds and make space in the squad for new recruits to arrive.

Leao would be a major departure should an exit materialise, and as per Antonio Vitiello, Fenerbahce officials have travelled to Milan to hold talks over the Portuguese international and see if a deal can be reached to prise him away from San Siro.
It’s added that Milan’s stance hasn’t changed as the club are not interested in a loan exit, and they value Leao at around €50m to €60m.
In turn, it remains to be seen if the Turkish giants are prepared to meet those demands to get a deal done, or if a compromise can’t be reached and a new solution must be found.
After struggling with injuries and to find his best form last season, Leao raised further doubts over his future at Milan earlier this summer as he publicly suggested that he was ready for a new challenge.
With that in mind, it feels like the right time to part company for both sides, as Milan are starting a new cycle under Amorim and we need players fully committed and capable of making a consistent impact and having a positive influence on and off the pitch.
Should a deal get done, it would bolster our ability to spend on filling that void and continuing to strengthen the group as a whole, and so it remains to be seen if there is any progress in talks in the coming days to open the door for a departure, or if an alternative interested party emerges who is willing to meet the asking price.
