Offer made as Milan look to bolster Amorim’s attacking options

AC Milan have reportedly made an official offer to Paris Saint-Germain for forward Goncalo Ramos.

The 25-year-old came through the ranks at Benfica before impressing at senior level, which in turn led to his move to PSG in 2024.

Ramos bagged 41 goals and 12 assists in 106 appearances for the Portuguese giants, while he has contributed 45 goals and 10 assists in 131 outings for the reigning Ligue 1 champions and Champions League winners.

Further, he has impressed at international level too having scored 10 goals in 26 caps for Portugal, and so the figures certainly suggest that he’s capable of offering a prolific presence up top.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Milan have submitted an official bid to PSG for Ramos, but it’s added that negotiations are ongoing between the respective parties in order to try and reach an agreement.

However, other clubs are said to also be interested in the Portuguese international, and so it remains to be seen if the Rossoneri can fend off the competition and land our top target’s signature.

There is plenty of uncertainty at this stage as we wait to see what changes are made to the squad as part of Ruben Amorim’s rebuild to assemble a group better suited to his ideas, system and style of play, but it seems as though he believes Ramos could be our new talisman to lead the line.

Milan currently have Niclas Fullkrug, Santiago Gimenez, Rafael Leao and Christopher Nkunku on our books in terms of who is capable of playing up top, and as we saw last season, that wasn’t enough to deliver our critical objectives.

In turn, adding more firepower and bolstering our attack seems like a sensible solution, but time will tell if an agreement can be reached between Milan and PSG, and also, who might have to leave in order to balance our books and continue to fund our own spending as having five frontmen seems excessive.

Ramos is currently competing at the World Cup and so that will likely delay any developments on his future, but for now, it seems as though Milan have certainly made him a priority transfer target this summer and are eager to try and get a deal in place sooner rather than later.
