AC Milan boss Ruben Amorim is reportedly keen to bring one of Goncalo Inacio or Lisandro Martinez to the club to strengthen his defence.
After being appointed as Massimiliano Allegri’s successor earlier this month, Amorim will now have the summer to rebuild the Milan squad and mould it into his own as he looks to implement his new ideas, identity and style of play.
In turn, incomings and outgoings are expected over the course of the summer transfer window, with the Rossoneri hopefully constructing a more competitive group as we look to put the disappointment of last season behind us.

Speculation has heavily suggested that Paris Saint-German frontman Goncalo Ramos will become Amorim’s first Milan signing, but that isn’t the only key area that he could look to strengthen.
According to Antonio Vitiello, the Milan boss is keen to bring one of Inacio or Martinez to the club, and it’s added that contact has already been made with Sporting and Manchester United respectively to determine whether or not a deal can be done.
This comes shortly after our chances of signing Benfica centre-half Antonio Silva were dismissed, and so it will be interesting to see if these new touted pursuits prove to be more fruitful.
Inacio, 24, came through the youth ranks at Sporting and has since gone on to make 259 appearances for the Portuguese giants at senior level, scoring 24 goals and providing 15 assists to go with his defensive qualities.
Amorim knows him well of course from their time working together, and it’s a similar story with Martinez after his spell in charge at Old Trafford.
The 28-year-old has a wealth of experience after stints with Ajax and Man Utd, but time will tell if he emerges as the priority option to improve our defence this summer.
Given the presence of the likes of Fikayo Tomori, Strahinja Pavlovic, Matteo Gabbia and others, Amorim will no doubt already be assessing and analysing the options that he has inherited to determine who will remain as part of his squad, but one of Inacio or Martinez could seemingly arrive to raise the level and give the new Milan boss his own option to help make his mark with players perhaps better suited to his ideas.
