With Brahim Diaz’s loan move to AC Milan set to officially end this week, the Rossoneri are said to be keen on bringing the Real Madrid ace back to the club next season.
As per Sky Sport Italia, one of the points of discussion between the two clubs this summer is a deal for the Spaniard, and it’s suggested that an agreement is close and it may well be a matter of time before it’s confirmed.

After contributing seven goals and four assists in 39 appearances last season, Diaz undoubtedly made a positive impression under Stefano Pioli, and it was seemingly enough to convince the club to try and bring him back on a potentially long-term move.
The 21-year-old did struggle with inconsistency at times as he dropped out of the side while injuries were also problematic for him as he was forced to miss a handful of games due to knocks.
However, particularly in the latter stages of the campaign, he stood up and made a pivotal difference in our late push to secure Champions League qualification, with key contributions in the wins over Juventus and Torino.
That arguably said a lot about his character and ability to make things happen in big moments, and so coupled with the goal involvements he had overall across all competitions, there was certainly enough there to warrant entering talks over a new move with Real Madrid.
Given Diaz is still only 21 years of age too, he will be expected to mature and develop his game further with experience, and he’ll get the type of role at Milan that will help with that process in the coming years.
While Pioli arguably can’t rest all of his hopes on Diaz to be the creative spark in the side and to solely burden him with the job of stepping in to fill the void left by Hakan Calhanoglu’s exit, the Spaniard has shown enough for the Rossoneri to suggest that he will be a key figure for us moving forward and has plenty of room for further improvement.
Milan would be making a smart move if we were able to bring him back for another year and have an option to buy included in any agreement, as Diaz showed last season that he can produce quality for us in the final third and it’s hoped that having had a year to adjust and adapt to life in Italy and Serie A, he’ll only become more and more influential for us over time.
Brahim Diaz.
Important impact last season, crucial late on vs Juve & Torino. Reports point towards a return to Milan next season on loan with buy option. Still only 21, will mature and develop his game with experience, hopefully big role to play for us.#ForzaMilan #SempreMilan pic.twitter.com/yVk33WfPDc
