AC Milan are being heavily linked with a move for Ajax ace Dusan Tadic this summer, and the Serbian international would be a sensible addition for the Rossoneri.
Following Hakan Calhanoglu’s exit this summer, there is an evident void in the creative department for Milan ahead of the upcoming campaign.

Creative, No.10 needed by Milan
Stefano Pioli will hope to see his former No.10 replaced, and given our presence in the Champions League next season, Milan arguably need to add more quality and depth in that area to ensure we have enough to be competitive across multiple fronts.
Countless names have naturally been linked with a move to San Siro since, but one that appears to be sticking in recent days is that of Tadic.
As per Gianluca Di Marzio, Milan are keen on the 32-year-old, but it remains to be seen if a switch materialises with Ajax unsurprisingly said to be eager to keep their influential playmaker.
Tadic has the proven track record to be Milan solution
Since joining the Dutch giants in 2018, Tadic has racked up 76 goals and 70 assists in 149 appearances in what has been a hugely impressive spell with the club thus far.
Given his experience, pedigree and leadership qualities as Ajax captain, it’s a sensible idea from Milan to target him given his ability to make an immediate impact and deal with the pressure that will come with trying to be our creative spark at the top level with fans returning to the stadium next season.
It’s arguably not quite enough though as Milan should look to add another playmaker to share the burden and responsibility of making us tick in the final third, particularly as there appears to be ongoing doubt over the futures of Rafael Leao, Jens Petter Hauge and Samu Castillejo.
Should any of that trio, or perhaps all of them, leave this summer, that then requires multiple signings from Milan to fill the voids, and so Tadic could potentially be just the first addition as part of a major reshuffle in attack.
As reported by De Telegraaf, Ajax director Marc Overmars has made the club’s position clear. Tadic is not for sale.
Given he’s had such a major influence on the team, that’s to be expected. However, time will tell if Tadic himself feels the need for a new challenge and if Milan are the club to convince him to move on.
It seems we’ll have to heavily rely on his personal desire to leave and push through a move if one is to materialise, but as far as his quality on the pitch and his influence in the dressing room goes, he would be an excellent signing for Milan, as long as they add more beyond just him this summer too.
