AC Milan are reportedly closing in on the signing of Bordeaux midfielder Yacine Adli, so what would he bring to the side if he arrived?
The Rossoneri have been busy this transfer window already as we look to strengthen the squad and compete for the Scudetto as well as the Champions League in the upcoming campaign.

Olivier Giroud, Fode Ballo-Toure and Mike Maignan have all arrived while Sandro Tonali, Fikayo Tomori and Brahim Diaz all return after initial loan deals last season.
Further reinforcements are expected, while MilanNews report that negotiations are ongoing and progressing between the two clubs over a deal for Adli.
So, what kind of play is the 21-year-old?
Yacine Adli stats, style of play and scouting profile
Adli came through the youth ranks at Paris Saint-Germain before joining Bordeaux in 2019, where he has gone on to make 69 appearances for the senior side.
In those outings, he has contributed five goals and eight assists, and while he predominantly played as a more attacking midfielder last season in Ligue 1, he can also be deployed in a deeper role too.
Further, he has five caps at U20 level for France, and so he will be eager to continue to develop and progress at both club and international level moving forward.
At 1.86m in height, he is a physical presence in midfield, while as seen in the video below, he can provide key attributes in both phases of the game.
With good technical quality in possession and with an eye for a pass, his ability to push forward and cause problems is evident, while he has strength and skill to get out of difficult situations and continue to break into the opposition half.
Importantly, his distribution is certainly accurate and decisive, and but for some poor finishing from his teammates, he would have plenty more assists to his name too given the dangerous situations he can create.
With Ismael Bennacer, Franck Kessie and Sandro Tonali available to Stefano Pioli in those two deeper midfield roles, it will seemingly be difficult for Adli to displace them and play regularly and so his versatility will perhaps come into play should he secure a move to Milan this summer.
He’s a silky operator with plenty of talent and so it’s easy to see why Milan are said to be keen on a swoop, but time will tell if it comes to fruition as if we really believe in his potential moving forward, it could be a smart pick up with a long-term plan in mind.
