Hernandez, 24, joined the Rossoneri in 2019 and has since made 108 appearances for the club.

In those outings, he has scored 19 goals and provided 21 assists in addition to his defensive duties, and so there is no doubt that the Frenchman has firmly established himself as a fundamental figure in Stefano Pioli’s side.
As per the club’s official site, Hernandez has now put pen to paper on a new contract that keeps him with us until 2026, and it’s a huge boost for Milan for two important reasons.
Securing the future of such an important individual is crucial in itself, but it also shows our ambition and ability to get our top players to buy in to our future plans & sends a signal to transfer targets too.
Hernandez has played a significant part in our progression over the last three years, from finally breaking back into the top four in Serie A to competing in the Champions League and now hopefully challenging for the Scudetto this season.
He is one of a handful of players who we simply can’t afford to lose if we want to build on the foundation put in place and compete at the top level, and so keeping him is great news as we prepare for a big push to end the campaign.
Further, for players on our transfer shortlist, showing them that key current players are signed up and committed for the next few years proves that there is a plan and a vision in place to get to the top, to be successful together and reach objectives, both individual and collective.
In turn, Hernandez signing his new deal is a vital development, and it’s hoped that he continues to showcase his quality moving forward.
