As per the club’s official site, Adli has joined from Bordeaux and signed a deal until 2026, but he will spend the rest of this season on loan with the Ligue 1 side to continue his development with regular playing time.
Milan will undoubtedly keep a close eye on his progress to determine whether or not he’s ready to be part of the first team next season, but for now, they’ve decided that they have enough in the squad and don’t necessarily have to draft Adli in immediately.
Adli, 21, came through the youth ranks at Paris Saint-Germain, and has since gone on to make 72 appearances for Bordeaux, scoring five goals and providing eight assists.
Despite his relative inexperience, Milan have clearly seen enough to be convinced of his talent and potential, and have decided to invest in him now and hope for a long-term reward as the midfielder still has his entire career ahead of him.
It’s another exciting addition to a young squad as we’re evidently continuing to build with the future in mind while having a competitive current squad ready to challenge for trophies in the more immediate future too.
We wish Adli the best of luck this season and hope that he takes another step forward in his career before succeeding at Milan in the long term.
