AC Milan have confirmed the signing of Messias Junior from Crotone in an initial loan deal with an option to buy.
The Rossoneri were busy on transfer deadline day as they also confirmed the signing of Yacine Adli from Bordeaux, but we’ll have to wait to see him in action for us as he has returned to France on loan this season.

In contrast, Messias Junior will be ready to impress as soon as possible as the club’s official site confirms he has joined on a loan deal from Crotone, while there is an option to buy included in the agreement.
Further, it has been confirmed that he will wear the No.30 jersey this season, and it’s hoped that he’s able to enjoy a successful stint at Milan regardless of how long he remains.
The 30-year-old scored 15 goals in 72 appearances across two seasons with Crotone, while he’s had quite the journey in his career prior to that having worked his way up through difficult times to ultimately earn the chance of a lifetime at San Siro.
His versatility will no doubt be key for Stefano Pioli given the Brazilian can play in various positions, having been used as a second striker, attacking midfielder and central midfielder by Crotone last season.
He can also offer another option on the right wing, and so with Milan looking to compete on multiple fronts this season, it’s hoped that Messias Junior will grow into an important role as the campaign develops.
With 11 important signings made this window, Milan will feel as though we’re in a strong enough position and have a squad capable of challenging for domestic trophies and being competitive in the Champions League.
Time will tell whether or not that comes to fruition, but Messias Junior will no doubt be relishing the opportunity to prove himself with the Rossoneri.
