AC Milan have officially announced the signing of Brahim Diaz from Real Madrid, who joins on a two-year loan deal.
The 21-year-old spent last season with the Rossoneri on a temporary basis, scoring seven goals and providing four assists in 39 appearances for Stefano Pioli’s side.

That was enough to seemingly convince the club to bring him back, with the official site noting that Diaz returns on a two-year temporary basis until 2023.
Further, it’s also confirmed by Milan that he will wear the No.10 jersey this season, and so that in itself is a huge show of faith in the young Spaniard and there will no doubt be additional responsibility and pressure that comes with it.
Nevertheless, he stood up and made key contributions when needed by Pioli, particularly towards the end of last season, namely his stunning goal away at Juventus.
If he is used more consistently as our primary playmaker and finds his top form on a consistent basis, then Milan will hope that he can provide real creativity and class in the final third to become a prominent figure in the side.
That said, with the addition of Champions League football to our schedule this season too, it would arguably be wise from a Milan perspective to add another playmaker in the transfer window, just to ensure we have enough quality and depth to be competitive on multiple fronts.
For now though, it’s a big moment for Diaz who has the platform to now take his career to the next level, and it’s hoped that he delivers this season and next to help us enjoy further success having finally broken back into the top four in Serie A last year.
