AC Milan have officially confirmed that both Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara have signed two-year contract renewals.
Following our success last season in ending our long wait for another Serie A title, which was the culmination of great work on and off the pitch over the past three years, there has unfortunately been a great deal of uncertainty surrounding the Rossoneri.

With new ownership and contracts to sort out within management, doubts were raised over Maldini and Massara’s futures at the club as the long wait continued for an update on their situation.
However, as confirmed on the club’s official site, it has now been announced that both Maldini and Massara have put pen to paper on two-year contract renewals, thus ending any speculation over their respective futures moving forward.
Given the positive nature of results on the pitch, which have been achieved through the work of the players and coaching staff but also through the way in which the squad has been assembled by Maldini and Massara, it was vital that we kept the same structure and personnel in place to build on last season.
It has led to a damaging wait already in terms of delaying our work in this transfer window, as we’ve seen transfer targets perhaps move on and accept moves elsewhere amid the uncertainty surrounding Milan.
However, this is now the first key piece to fall into place this summer, and it’s hoped that more news and transfer activity follows quickly in the coming days and weeks as we try to strengthen the squad and ensure there is much more success to come having returned to the top of the pile in Serie A.
