AC Milan battled back to secure a 1-1 draw at Juventus on Sunday, with Ante Rebic scoring a second-half equaliser to pick up a point.
The Rossoneri struggled in the first half with Alvaro Morata giving the hosts an early lead, but there was a spirited response after the break from Stefano Pioli’s men.

After our efforts in midweek in the Champions League, this showdown in Turin wrapped up a difficult week, and so it was a real boost to see Milan secure a draw and remain unbeaten in Serie A so far this season.
Milan player ratings vs Juventus
Mike Maignan, 6.5 – Beaten by a quality finish from Morata, but was alert to danger thereafter and produced some good saves. Continues to offer a reliable presence between the posts and good distribution up the pitch.
Fikayo Tomori, 7.5 – Another solid performance from Tomori despite his positional shift and then a mid-game tweak following the injury to Kjaer. Physical, aggressive and uses his pace well to provide steeliness at the back.
Simon Kjaer, 6.5 – A blow to lose our defensive stalwart to injury as he had been in charge prior to that, producing some clean, late challenges to give us a strong foundation. It’s hoped that the muscle issue isn’t serious.
Alessio Romagnoli, 7.5 – Back-to-back excellent performances now from our captain in the league as he was composed and commanding defensively and accurate with his distribution out from the back.
Theo Hernandez, 5 – Poor display which started with his early mistake to give away possession which led to the Juventus counter attack and Morata goal setting the wrong tone. Sloppy in possession, lethargic overall, not his finest night’s work.
Sandro Tonali, 7.5 – Assist for the goal with a brilliant delivery from a corner, capped off another strong showing as he was combative in midfield while showing strength and technical quality to emerge as one of our top performers in the game.
Franck Kessie, 5.5 – Still not at his best and not fully fit as he’s set a high standard over the past year or so, and this is not close to that just yet. Will hopefully rediscover his best form sooner rather than later as he’s limited in possession and off the pace out of it.
Alexis Saelemaekers, 5 – Not enough quality from him in the final third, especially in a game like this where we needed more from him. Sloppy in possession, did little to worry the Juventus defence throughout.
Brahim Diaz, 6.5 – Positive on the ball, attacked with intent as he showed good technical quality to spin away from markers and attack space in the final third. A bright spark for Milan in the opposition half.
Rafael Leao, 5.5 – Juve did well to mark him with numbers and nullify his threat as he struggled to get away from a crowd and use his pace and direct running to better effect. A step back compared to his improving displays in recent weeks.
Ante Rebic, 7.5 – Another tough assignment for him in leading the Milan line against a strong, physical backline. Worked tirelessly with his runs off the ball to try and stretch the Juventus defence, got his reward with a brilliant header to equalise for us to make it two goals and two assists in his last three games across all competitions.
Substitutes
Pierre Kalulu, 6.5 – Did well after coming on in difficult circumstances, solid defensively and almost grabbed a winner but was denied by a great save.
Alessandro Florenzi, 6 – Similarly to Kalulu, positive coming off the bench as he added fresh legs and impetus going forward to help us see out the draw.
Ismael Bennacer, 6.5 – A good response after his struggles in midweek, as he paired up with Tonali in our midfield and was effective in giving us a platform to push on and go for the win.
