AC Milan have received a double injury boost as both Fikayo Tomori and Ante Rebic have both trained ahead of our Coppa Italia clash with Lazio.
The Rossoneri will have been buoyed by our important win over rivals Inter at the weekend, with Olivier Giroud’s quick-fire brace turning the game on its head.

While that result reignites our Scudetto hopes, the focus switches to the Coppa Italia in midweek and it’s hoped that our pursuit of silverware continues.
Rebic, Tomori eye comebacks
It promises to be a difficult task against Lazio, but with MilanNews reporting that both Tomori and Rebic trained with the group on Tuesday in a significant step in their respective recoveries from injury, it’s hoped that the pair are able to get minutes on Wednesday night and push on with their comebacks.
Tomori’s presence in defence is fundamental to our success moving forward, as the statistics in the tweet below suggest, and so the sooner we see him return to the Milan XI the better.
As for Rebic, he provides us with an important option in the final third and versatility to be deployed in various roles. Given his useful habit of scoring key goals too, it will be a welcome boost to see him back on the pitch.
📊📈 Fikayo Tomori's Serie A season in numbers so far…

How Milan could line up vs Lazio
Although both Tomori and Rebic are expected to be named in the squad for the encounter with Lazio, it’s unlikely that either will be risked in the starting line-up, given their lack of playing time in recent weeks.
In turn, the pair are likely to start on the bench, and that in turn would mean that Stefano Pioli goes with a similar XI to that which faced Inter on Saturday night with Milan taking this game seriously as we try to capture silverware this season.
Mike Maignan will start between the posts, with Davide Calabria, Pierre Kalulu, Alessio Romagnoli and Theo Hernandez forming the back-four in front of him.
After being deployed further up the field last time out, Franck Kessie will likely return to a more comfortable role in a midfield two with Sandro Tonali, with Messias Junior, Brahim Diaz and Rafael Leao providing the attacking threat in the final third behind frontman Giroud.
That is undoubtedly a strong XI, arguably our strongest with the options currently available, and so it’s hoped that there is enough quality there to ensure we secure a victory and advance in the competition, as it will not only maintain and build our momentum, but it will also keep alive the hope of achieving a key objective for this group in terms of starting to win trophies.
Probable Milan XI vs Lazio: (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Kalulu, Romagnoli, Theo Hernandez; Tonali, Kessie; Messias, Diaz, Leao; Giroud.
