With AC Milan said to be edging closer to signing Alessandro Florenzi on a permanent deal, it would be a smart move from the Rossoneri given what he offers to the squad.
As per MilanNews, Milan are set to exercise their option to buy on the Italian stalwart to sign him from Roma, with a fee of around €2m expected to exchange hands.

Florenzi, 31, made 30 appearances across all competitions last season, adding two goals to his defensive contributions, and having established himself as a key member of our Serie A title-winning squad, it’s no surprise that Stefano Pioli and the management are keen to extend his stay.
Florenzi’s experience, pedigree crucial for Milan
Aside from his tenacity, tireless work ethic and passion on the pitch which in itself are attributes that can drive us forward and make those around him better, Florenzi’s leadership shouldn’t be underestimated.
The wily veteran is a senior figure in the dressing room and an important voice and source of information for the younger players in the group having experienced it all at the top level for club and country, and if they wisely decide to listen to him and any advice he offers, it will only continue to benefit them and the team as a whole.
It’s pivotal to find the right balance between experience and youth, and that was a key reason behind our success last year. Florenzi played an important role on and off the pitch throughout, and although he might find his playing time and opportunities equally as limited this upcoming season and perhaps even more so, it’s important for Pioli and the players to have someone like him around.
Importantly, he’s still capable of making a vital contribution when involved in the side and that is a major factor, and it’s hoped that should a deal now be formalised and announced as expected, he continues to help us progress as we not only look to defend our domestic crown next season, but also raise our competitiveness in Europe and make a bigger impression in the Champions League.
