Tiemoue Bakayoko’s agent has revealed that they are open to a return to AC Milan this summer as the Rossoneri look to add midfield depth.
The 26-year-old enjoyed a positive loan spell with us in the 2018/19 campaign, but has continued to find it difficult to find a long-term home.

Loan spells at Monaco and Napoli have since followed, and it appears as though he doesn’t have a place at Chelsea moving forward under Thomas Tuchel, while his contract expires in 2022.
Bakayoko made 42 appearances for Milan in that season, and after struggling with his initial form, he undoubtedly established himself as a key figure in the side.
Now, his agent has left the door wide open to a second spell with the Rossoneri.
Bakayoko’s agent on possible Milan return
“Bakayoko’s return to Milan? It’s possible, Milan are looking for a player with his characteristics and it is likely that they will make a proposal,” he told Calciomercato.
“At the moment Tiemouè is a Chelsea player, but there is a possibility to change shirt and go to an Italian team. Milan are a great team and if the opportunity arises we will do everything possible to bring him to the Rossoneri.
“Maldini and Massara know him, they know what he can give.
“Chelsea’s request? I don’t think he will go away on loan like with Napoli, his contract won’t allow for it. At the moment I don’t know the price, I don’t decide this and so Chelsea will decide the price.”
Milan could solve midfield depth issue with Bakayoko
What is clear at this stage is that Milan are in the market for another midfielder, following the decision not to keep Soualiho Meite on after his loan stint from Torino.
The expectation is that Sandro Tonali will be signed on a permanent basis this summer, but as we prepare for a return to the Champions League as well as trying to challenge for the Scudetto next season, more depth and quality is needed behind Franck Kessie and Ismael Bennacer.
In turn, that is where Bakayoko fits the bill, but time will tell if the two clubs can reach an agreement that satisfies both their needs, and allows for the combative midfielder to enjoy a second spell as a Milan player for next season at least.
