AC Milan midfielder Yunus Musah has reportedly emerged as a top transfer target for Nottingham Forest this summer.
The 22-year-old joined the Rossoneri from Valencia in 2023 and has since gone on to make 80 appearances for the club, 40 of which came last season.

Despite having seemingly established himself as a key figure in the squad, it doesn’t appear as though he will form part of Massimiliano Allegri’s plans moving forward as he plots a midfield rebuild this summer.
As per Gianluca Di Marzio, after his touted move to Napoli fell through last month, Forest have now emerged as serious contenders to sign him, as the Premier League side have shown strong interest in the USA international.
It remains to be seen if an agreement can be reached between the two clubs as well as with the player on personal terms, but an exit could help Milan continue to invest in our midfield and make significant changes in that department.
While Tijjani Reijnders departed last month, speculation has been rife over potential incomings and outgoings, as it has clearly emerged as a priority to be addressed ahead of next season to ensure we’re more competitive and can successfully adapt and implement Allegri’s way of playing.
Despite arguably having the tenacity, work ethic and technical ability to be a key cog in the Milan boss’s plans, the ongoing talk of an exit in relation to Musah would suggest that he isn’t seen as part of the new project, and so a departure would appear to be the best outcome for all concerned.
It would give Milan additional funds to reinvest back into the squad on players better suited to what Allegri is building, namely covering the fees needed to land the signings of Samuele Ricci and Ardon Jashari, the former is expected to complete his move this week while the latter remains a top target, while Musah will likely get a more prominent role at Forest.
