AC Milan reportedly face possible interest from Arsenal in Rafael Leao, but it’s claimed that the Rossoneri have no desire to sell our star winger this summer.
The Portuguese international arrived in 2019, and has since gone on to score 70 goals and provide 62 assists in 258 appearances for the club.

At times, his inconsistent form and impact has been a source of frustration throughout his spell with us, but there is no denying that he has been a fundamental part of our success and progression during the last five years or so, and he remains a top-class player on his day.
With such a pivotal role to play in the current team, speculation over his future has raised concern ahead of the summer transfer window, but Matteo Moretto, as reported by MilanNews, note that although there could be interest in the 25-year-old this summer, Milan consider him important in our future plans and unsellable.
Time will tell if that stance remains in place throughout the upcoming window, particularly if a big-money offer comes in for Leao, as ultimately Milan need to strengthen the squad ahead of next season and especially if we fail to qualify for the Champions League, we may need to sell to raise funds to spend and balance our books.
In turn, it promises to be a crucial period in the construction of this squad for the next cycle, and with question marks over whether or not we’ll actually appoint a sporting director and if Sergio Conceicao will remain in charge beyond this season, there is still so much to sort out before decisions can be made on individual players.
Leao’s contract with Milan runs until 2028, and so we’re in a strong position either way, but whether it’s Conceicao or a successor, in conjunction with a sporting director, a decision will need to be made on whether or not the Portuguese winger is going to be a prominent figure in our plans and strategy moving forward or not.
If faith is shown in him to continue to lead our charge, great. If not, speculation over his future will only build, and it remains to be seen if an offer can convince Milan to sell this summer. At this early stage, it sounds very unlikely.
