AC Milan forward Rafael Leao is reportedly attracting interest this summer, but the Rossoneri are said to have a clear stance on his future.
The 25-year-old has been a pivotal player for us since arriving in 2019, scoring 70 goals and providing 62 assists in 260 appearances.

While he can be devastating and unplayable at times when in top form, the Portuguese international can be equally as frustrating with his inconsistency and inability to deliver in big or difficult moments when needed.
In turn, that may well have raised doubts over his future at Milan this summer amid significant changes being made at the club with the arrivals of Igli Tare and Massimiliano Allegri as sporting director and coach respectively, but despite touted interest, it seems we have a clear stance on Leao’s future.
As reported by MilanNews via Kicker, Bayern Munich are said to hold an interest in signing the winger, while inquiries have also been received from some Premier League clubs.
However, it’s added that Milan are clear in that we want to keep Leao at the club beyond this summer, and only an ‘irresistible’ offer could potentially change that.
That said, it’s also worth noting that the report suggests that Leao isn’t against the idea of moving to the Bavarian giants after a meeting was held between club officials and his representatives, but Allegri intends on making him a leading figure in his plans moving forward.
Given the lack of quality around him and reports that other key individuals could be moving on this summer, that will arguably be music to the ears of many Milan fans, as we can’t afford to just sell all of our top players in one window and try to rebuild ahead of next season.
In contrast, Leao’s inconsistency and high valuation possibly might have singled him out as a candidate to be sold this summer to help the club reinvest back into the squad with those funds, and so it remains to be seen if a huge offer comes in for his services which might tempt Tare and Allegri into giving the green light.
What is clear at this stage is that there are going to be a lot more changes at Milan over the course of the summer, and it’s hoped that we ultimately end the transfer window with a stronger squad compared to the one we started it with.
