Milan seeking double exit as attacking duo remain up for sale this summer

AC Milan duo Noah Okafor and Samuel Chukwueze are reportedly both still considered up for sale by the club this summer.

The Rossoneri are making significant changes ahead of next season, as sporting director Igli Tare looks to build a squad suited to Massimiliano Allegri’s ideas, system and style of play.

Further, the Italian tactician will likely have a clear idea over who in the current squad is capable of staying to play a crucial role for him, and it appears as though neither Okafor nor Chukwueze fit into his plans.

According to Antonio Vitiello, both attacking players remain on the exit list for the club this summer, and while it seems our intentions are clear, time will tell if suitable offers arrive to ensure that they do move on.

Okafor, 25, arrived from RB Salzburg in 2023 and has gone on to score seven goals and provide five assists in 53 appearances for the club.

He spent the second half of last season on loan at Napoli where he made just four appearances in a severely limited role, and so it’s hoped that he’s done enough in recent years to have attracted interest from elsewhere.

As for Chukwueze, the 26-year-old was signed from Villarreal in 2023, and he’s managed eight goals and six assists in 69 outings for the Rossoneri.

Ultimately, those tallies for both players aren’t good enough if we are to push on and compete at the top level for major honours, and while Allegri may well get more out of them with his management skills, it appears as though the decision has been made to move them on.

That in turn will hopefully clear space in the squad and raise additional funds to bring in attacking options that will be a better fit for the Milan boss, who will have his own structure, system and style of play to implement ahead of next season, and it’s imperative that he has the tools at his disposal to give us an identity and to play with more consistent quality to get better results.
