AC Milan are reportedly considering Borussia Dortmund defender Niklas Sule as a potential signing this summer.
The 29-year-old joined the Bundesliga giants from rivals Bayern Munich in 2022 and has gone on to make 93 appearances for the club.

Further, he now has 49 caps to his name for Germany, and so he’s an established and experienced defensive figure at both club and international level.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Milan are identifying potential transfer targets in the event that a sale is made in defence, and Sule is said to be a candidate to fill that possible void.
With just a year remaining on his current contract, the German international could be available in a cut-price deal this summer, and so with his experience and quality, he could be a sensible signing if the Rossoneri need to shore things up at the back.
Having conceded 43 goals in our 38 Serie A games last season, we had the second-worst defensive record of the top eight sides in the standings, and so evidently that will be an area which Massimiliano Allegri will prioritise for improvement.
Time will tell if he starts by assessing the options already at his disposal when the players report for pre-season duty next month, or if he’s seen enough of those in the current squad already to feel as though chances are needed to help us become a tighter defensive unit and harder to beat.
For all the positives noted above, it has to be said that it remains questionable if Sule is the best option on the market for us to bring in to address that possible issue, but sporting director Igli Tare and Allegri will no doubt meticulously assess all the realistic options available to us and pick the best fit for the Italian tactician’s system and style of play.
That will hopefully lead to a successful recruitment drive this summer, and given the number of players being paired with a departure thus far, we could see a fair few incomings the deeper we get into the transfer window.
