AC Milan are reportedly pushing to convince Marcus Thuram to join us this summer, but we face significant competition from Paris Saint-Germain.
The 25-year-old is set to leave Borussia Monchengladbach at the end of this month when his contract expires and so he’ll be available as a free agent.

With 44 goals and 29 assists in 134 appearances for the club during his time there, coupled with his 10 caps for France, Thuram has made positive strides in recent years and with his versatility which allows him to play across the frontline either on the flanks or through the middle, he could be a smart addition to the squad.
According to MilanNews, Milan are pushing to land his signature this summer, with contacts with his representatives continuing as we try to reach an agreement.
However, it’s added that PSG have also tabled an offer which is much more appealing from a financial perspective, and so it remains to be seen if we can convince him on the sporting side and how his role will be key in our aspirations moving forward.
After Brahim Diaz’s departure to return to Real Madrid, Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s retirement and question marks continuing to be raised over the likes of Divock Origi, Ante Rebic, Junior Messias and Charles De Ketelaere, Milan are undoubtedly in need of upgrading our attacking options this summer.
In turn, if the club believe Thuram could provide a consistent solution and complement the likes of Rafael Leao and Olivier Giroud well, then it’s hoped our proposal is enough to convince him to choose us.
If he opts for PSG though, Milan must move quickly to identify an alternative option as we simply can’t expect to challenge for major honours moving forward with the same group we have currently, as seen in our shortcomings last season both in terms of our failed bid to defend our Serie A title and falling short in the semi-finals of the Champions League.
