AC Milan midfielder Luka Modric will reportedly evaluate his future and hold a key meeting with Ruben Amorim after the World Cup.
The 40-year-old continues to hold off Father Time and impress in the USA this summer as he helped Croatia qualify for the knockout stage of the tournament this weekend.
It comes after his first season with Milan in which he featured 37 times, scoring two goals and providing three assists to go with his overall influence in midfield.

In turn, it certainly looks as though he still has plenty left to offer moving forward, but a decision will be needed on his future this summer as to whether or not he will extend his stay with us.
Much has already changed at Milan in recent weeks with Ruben Amorim being appointed as Massimiliano Allegri’s successor following our disappointing campaign last year, and further changes are expected both within the hierarchy and with the squad.
According to Antonio Vitiello, Modric will assess his future once his participation at the World Cup comes to an end next month, and he will have a ‘detailed meeting’ with the new Milan boss to discuss what his plans are moving forward.
Ideally, the Croatian stalwart will remain with us for another season at least, as his experience, leadership and quality will no doubt be useful to Amorim as he looks to implement his ideas, system and style of play, and having a player of Modric’s stature at his disposal will unquestionably help with that process,
Such is the class of midfield veteran, there is little doubt that he will be able to fit into that and shine, and so it would be a huge boost for Milan if he were to stay on and help this new era begin in positive fashion.
That said, much will depend on Amorim and whether or not he has better suited options in mind, be it those in the current squad, youth players or a possible new signing in that department, and so time will tell if Modric remains a Milan player beyond this summer or not.
