Triple Milan exit touted as critical period ahead in rebuilding plans

AC Milan could reportedly oversee three outgoings in the coming weeks, as our rebuild under Massimiliano Allegri looks set to gather pace.

Alongside newly-appointed sporting director Igli Tare, the pair will be planning on how to assemble a more competitive squad given our failures and shortcomings last season.

Naturally, Allegri will have his own preferred system and style of play that he will want to implement, and so our work in the transfer market will be geared towards that which is always a good place to start to have a sense of direction and conviction in the work being done.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport though, we could be set to see a string of exits to start the summer, with Pierre Kalulu expected to join Juventus permanently after his loan stint this past season, with a transfer fee of €14m noted.

Meanwhile, it’s suggested that Manchester City will submit a fresh offer for Tijjani Reijnders in the coming days, and that should come closer to satisfying our demands of around €70m for the Dutchman, who is said to be keen on the new challenge.

Should that departure materialise though, that will be a tough one to take as Reijnders was a major positive in a season full of disappointment and frustration last year, but such is the importance of the fee involved which could undoubtedly help us rebuild and construct a more competitive squad, it will be hard to turn down.

Further, the report adds that an offer from Bayer Leverkusen has arrived for Malick Thiaw, and so it will be fascinating to see whether or not he moves on, and for how much.

There will be countless other decisions needed from Allegri and Milan given several loanees will also be returning to the club later this summer after indifferent stints elsewhere, with the likes of Ismael Bennacer, Yacine Adli, Tommaso Pobega and Noah Okafor either pushing to get a second chance or looking for an alternative solution.

It certainly would seem as though we’re going to approve a number of exits to clear space in the squad and free up funds to spend on reinforcements, and so it is going to be a busy, but exciting summer ahead.
