AC Milan youngster Francesco Camarda is reportedly attracting plenty of interest with Lecce said to be in pole position to sign him on loan this summer.
The 17-year-old has made quite the impression early in his career with his goalscoring exploits at youth level, while he’s already made 16 appearances for the first-team.

With six goals in 10 caps for Italy U19s, the signs are positive that he has a big future ahead of him for club and country, but a decision will be needed on his future this summer.
According to Antonio Vitiello, Lecce are leading the race to sign him on loan for the upcoming campaign, but it’s added several that other Serie A and Serie B clubs have made inquiries and so it remains to be seen where he ends up.
Ultimately, it’s a sensible move to loan him out as it will hopefully give him an opportunity to play at a high level on a consistent basis to gain valuable experience and to develop and improve his all-round game to go with his eye for goal.
That makes a lot more sense than either continuing at youth level for Milan or sitting on the bench and getting the odd run-out here or there for Massimiliano Allegri, and so should he move out on loan as expected this summer, he’ll hopefully return a much more polished forward next year.
However, it’s imperative that Milan get the landing spot right, as it will benefit no one if Camarda ends up joining a club where he doesn’t play that often and hasn’t got a prominent role, and so although he’ll have to earn his spot, it would be ideal if he is the lead man up front for the side he’s moving to immediately.
Time will tell whether or not that’s with Lecce, but it looks as though he’ll move on in the coming weeks with Milan still in the market for forwards to bolster our own attack given Tammy Abraham and Luka Jovic are expected to move on, thus leaving Santiago Gimenez as our sole option to lead the line as our focal point up top.
