AC Milan youngster Christian Comotto is reportedly closing in on a loan move to Spezia for the upcoming campaign.
The 17-year-old has come through the youth ranks at the club and has impressed during pre-season as he looks to have the potential for a bright future if he continues to improve and develop.

With his playing time at senior level likely to be severely limited with the Rossoneri this season, a loan move elsewhere undoubtedly makes sense at this stage of his career, and according to Antonio Vitiello, he will undergo his medical on Monday ahead of joining Spezia on a season-long loan deal.
It’s added that there will performance-related bonuses included in the agreement, and so it’s hoped that it proves to be a productive loan stint that aids his development and puts Comotto in a better position to establish himself at Milan in the long run.
While the club has been busy this summer trying to bring in reinforcements as Massimiliano Allegri moulds the squad into his own, it’s important to get the balance right and bring through youth players where possible, albeit Milan have been poor in doing so for some time now.
Comotto is part of a group of talented youngsters at the club in that phase of their career where they will benefit from loan spells to gain valuable experience and mature, but it’s hoped that they can prove themselves and ultimately earn a place in Allegri’s plans in the long run.
The Milan midfield has been a point of focus this summer with incomings and outgoings, but with Luka Modric and Samuele Ricci arriving, coupled with the expectation that we could see one more reinforcement in that department, Allegri will have plenty of competition for places and depth, and hopefully Comotto will be part of the long-term plan if his expected loan spell at Spezia proves to be successful.
