Milan set to make improved proposal for top transfer target to address key area

AC Milan are reportedly set to make an improved offer for Club Brugge midfielder Ardon Jashari.

The 22-year-old impressed for the Belgian outfit last season after arriving from FC Luzern last summer, as he went on to make 52 appearances across all competitions, scoring four goals and providing six assists to go with his overall influence in midfield.

With four caps to his name for Switzerland already, it appears as though he has a bright future ahead of him for club and country, and the Rossoneri have been alerted to his quality and potential.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Milan are set to make an improved proposal to sign the Swiss international this summer, with a bid worth €27m plus €5m in add-ons being reported.

It’s added that it’s unlikely to be enough for Club Brugge to approve an exit, but Milan will continue to try to reach an agreement over a switch for Jashari.

Our midfield is expected to be a point of emphasis this summer, particularly after the departure of Tijjani Reijnders, while we’ll look to build a unit that can successfully implement Massimiliano Allegri’s preferred style of play and in his system.

Further exits could materialise to make space in the squad and to help balance our books if we’re going to spend big on a target like Jashari, but with Allegri having clear ideas on what he wants and being backed by sporting director Igli Tare in the transfer market, it’s hoped that we’re able to build a much more competitive squad ahead of next season.

With Tare all-but confirming that Luka Modric is on his way to join us later this summer, that swoop will add much-needed experience, leadership and quality to deliver immediately and help us bounce back from a disappointing campaign last year.

However, given that the Croatian stalwart is 39 years of age, we also need to have long-term solutions in place, and perhaps the club see Jashari as the ideal option to provide that, while learning from Modric in the upcoming seasons.

Time will tell if an agreement can be reached between the two clubs or if Milan are forced to consider alternative options, but with our midfield in need of strengthening, the Rossoneri have seemingly identified an ideal target to provide a solution and will push to reach a deal to land his signature.
