AC Milan will reportedly complete the signing of Alvaro Morata this week, while Tammy Abraham, Strahinja Pavlovic and Youssouf Fofana could follow.
After leading Spain to EURO 2024 triumph this past weekend, Morata’s club future is expected to be sorted out with the Rossoneri heavily linked with a swoop.

According to Antonio Vitiello, Milan have triggered the €13m release clause in the 31-year-old’s contract with Atletico Madrid, and with a medical booked for Wednesday and a four-year deal agreed upon, with an option for a fifth year, we could see Morata unveiled as a Milan player by the end of this week.
It’s a critical signing to kick-start our summer transfer window, as after Olivier Giroud’s exit, we have a glaring need to bolster our attacking options to add more firepower and quality in the final third.
Morata will not only provide a goal threat which is evidenced by his track record over spells with Atleti, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Juventus and Spain, he’ll give us a focal point and presence up top which may well suit Paulo Fonseca’s intended system and style of play.
With a wealth of experience and the technical ability and class to make the difference in front of goal, it’s hoped that this proves to be a successful signing that will help us compete for major honours in the upcoming campaign.
Meanwhile, it could also signal the start of a flurry of transfer activity from Milan, who have been quiet to this point as appointing Fonseca was undoubtedly the priority.
As per Fabrizio Romano, while Morata is expected to complete the formalities of his move in the next 48 hours, Milan will then switch the focus to Tammy Abraham, Strahinja Pavlovic and Youssouf Fofana to strengthen our attack further, defence and midfield respectively to build a stronger spine to the side.
After a poor season from a defensive perspective, tightening things up at the back and making ourselves harder to beat will be a primary focus, and so Pavlovic and Fofana would be sensible additions given what they can provide in the defensive phase.
As for Abraham, although Milan also have Luka Jovic in reserve, that still may not be enough to compete across a gruelling season in multiple competitions, and so Abraham, with his experience gained at Roma and his impressive goalscoring track record, it could be an exciting few weeks ahead in the transfer market from a Milan perspective.
