Milan loanee could seal fresh exit as talks ongoing over new move

AC Milan striker Alvaro Morata could be on the move in a permanent deal with Como, but further talks are required to confirm the switch.

The 32-year-old arrived from Atletico Madrid in July 2024, but amid a turbulent campaign last year, the Spanish frontman was sent out on loan to Galatasaray in the January transfer window.

After registering six goals and two assists in 25 appearances for the Rossoneri, Morata followed that up with seven goals and three assists in 16 outings for the Turkish giants, and he currently has the opportunity to build on that impressive start given his loan deal runs until January 2026, while Galatasaray have an obligation to buy, depending on certain conditions being met, included in the agreement.

However, according to Fabrizio Romano, an alternative solution has emerged for the Milan loanee, as Como have stepped up their pursuit of him and have an agreement in place on personal terms.

While that’s one important hurdle that has been overcome, there still needs to be an agreement between the clubs, while Galatasaray will be involved in those discussions too as ultimately Morata would have to be allowed to terminate his loan spell early to go on and join Como instead.

Time will tell if the pieces fall into place for that to happen, but with Morata seemingly not having a place in our future plans despite the potential of a reunion with Massimiliano Allegri after their time working together at Juventus, ideally we’d cash in on him this summer and reinvest those funds back into the squad.

Milan are certainly in need adding more firepower and bolstering our attack ahead of next season with Allegri having only Santiago Gimenez to lead our line as things stand, and so a potential Morata sale will no doubt help fund a move to bring in a player suited to the Italian tactician’s demands and style of play,

Should he go on and seal a permanent departure, it will ultimately prove to have been a disappointing spell for the Spaniard in a Milan shirt as things didn’t work out the way all concerned would have hoped for, but this could ultimately be a solution that suits all parties.
