AC Milan face a trip to Cagliari on Wednesday evening, and Stefano Pioli has received mixed news on the injury front ahead of the encounter.
The Rossoneri secured an unconvincing 1-0 win over Verona this past weekend, but with a hectic upcoming schedule, Pioli will be forced to rotate and keep his squad as fresh as possible.

Lazio visit San Siro this weekend before Milan are back in Champions League action at Borussia Dortmund next Wednesday, and so changes are expected again for our trip to Sardinia.
It had been hoped there would be good news from the treatment room at Milanello, and there is to an extent, with Antonio Vitiello reporting that both Mike Maignan and Theo Hernandez resumed group training on Monday morning.
That in turn would suggest that the influential duo will be available for selection having missed out against Verona, but in contrast, Davide Calabria was still doing personalised work on the pitch, and so it remains to be seen if he can join his teammates in being back in contention for selection.
In less positive news reported by Vitiello, after limping off last time out, Rade Krunic underwent further tests and has sustained a hamstring injury. In turn, the Milan midfielder will be re-evaluated in 10 days, and so that seemingly rules him out of featuring in any of the next three games.
That poses a real selection headache for Pioli given Krunic was a mainstay in the deeper midfield role so far this season, and so it remains to be seen if Tijjani Reinjders is simply switched into that position, or if it opens up a rare opportunity for Yacine Adli to come in and look to impress.
The expectation is that it will be the former, and so time will tell what the knock-on effect of that is in midfield, with Tommaso Pobega perhaps coming in to form part of the trio.
Should neither Maignan nor Theo be risked for this one, Marco Sportiello will continue between the posts, while Pioli could persist with a back three again, which in turn would see Alessandro Florenzi and Simon Kjaer keep their places.
