AC Milan completed the signing of Ruben Loftus-Cheek this week, and he now has a big opportunity in a crucial phase of his career.
As per the club’s statement, the 27-year-old has signed a contract that will run until June 2027, while Fabrizio Romano has reported that the deal is worth an initial €16m, plus €4m in add-ons.

With 13 goals and 18 assists in 155 appearances for Chelsea, 10 caps for England and having won a number of major trophies, he joins us at an important stage of his career where he has a big opportunity to impress and play a key role for us in the coming years.
He hasn’t always had a high level of responsibility or a prominent role on a consistent basis, but that is likely with the Rossoneri now, should we ship out certain individuals this summer and make space in the squad for our new arrivals to make their mark.
Given his injury history, his first challenge will be to stay healthy. If he can do that and consistently showcase his quality, he is more than capable of making an important contribution for us as we look to inject more technical ability, athleticism and physicality into our midfield.
Loftus-Cheek is entering what will hopefully be his peak years with us now, and his versatility will also be an important strength for Stefano Pioli. However, it’s hoped that he can solidify his place in a settled role, and fulfil his potential as we look to raise our level in the upcoming campaign.
Changes to the squad are necessary this summer as we look to shuffle our pack and become more competitive, and Loftus-Cheek will be an integral part of that now as he looks to establish himself in our starting XI and ensure we produce more quality in the final third next season.
