Amorim will evaluate talented Milan duo in big sign of youth intention

AC Milan boss Ruben Amorim will reportedly evaluate both Francesco Camarda and Christian Comotto during our summer training camp ahead of the new season.

Having been appointed as the new Rossoneri boss last month, there is real intrigue over how Amorim will mould the squad that he inherited from Massimiliano Allegri into his own.

Milan have already confirmed our first major signing of his tenure as Goncalo Ramos has arrived from Paris Saint-Germain, and further reinforcements are certainly expected.

However, it also appears as though the Portuguese tactician will give our young talent an opportunity to establish themselves in his plans for the squad, as Antonio Vitiello reports that both Camarda and Comotto will be given the chance to impress during our upcoming training camp and in turn it will give Amorim a chance to evaluate them more closely.

He notes that a meeting was held between their representatives and the club’s directors, and there seems to be a positive feeling about their inclusion.

It comes amid ongoing speculation suggesting that the Milan boss is eager to bring talented youngster Mattia Liberali back to the club as we try to fend off the competition and secure his signing from Catanzaro, and with other prospects coming through our ranks, it’s certainly hoped that this is a sign of things to come moving forward.

Naturally, a balance is absolutely needed in order to be competitive both in the short-term and long-term future, but there is always a sense of pride and connection when our homegrown players are able to make a breakthrough at senior level, and if Amorim is prepared to open the door for them, hopefully they can grab the opportunity with both hands.

Time will tell if Liberali returns or not, but it would appear as though Camarda and Comotto, among others, will have a shot at establishing themselves in our plans for the upcoming campaign, and it’s hoped that they won’t be the only ones to provide Amorim with internal solutions as we look to build a successful new cycle.
