AC Milan have reportedly reached an agreement on a contract extension with Luka Jovic which will keep him at the club next season.
The 26-year-old arrived from Fiorentina in September 2023, signing a one-year deal before going on to contribute nine goals and an assist in 30 appearances across all competitions last year.

Particularly now with Olivier Giroud departing and the lack of quality competition and depth in the Milan squad up front, Jovic is likely to have a pivotal role to play behind our new first-choice striker in the new campaign.
According to Matteo Moretto, the Serbian international has reached an agreement with Milan on a contract extension, and so he will remain in the squad for Paulo Fonseca’s first season in charge.
It’s a smart move from the club in that it addresses a key concern with an option we know well already, and while the expectation is that Jovic will compete but ultimately be limited to providing support for a new signing in that department, he has the experience and ability to play an important role when called upon.
Time will tell when and who is signed to address that concern up top, as that will undoubtedly be a priority for Fonseca and the hierarchy in order to have our new attacking talisman with the group as early as possible to give him the summer to adapt and settle in.
However, it’s one less task on the to-do list for this summer with Jovic’s future seemingly secured, and it will now be on Fonseca and his coaching staff to ensure that the Milan forward is capable of fitting into our structure and system to be as impactful as possible next year as we look to compete on multiple fronts.
