AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli has been dealt a fresh injury blow as Theo Hernandez will miss our encounter with Lazio on Tuesday night.
The Rossoneri travel to the Stadio Olimpico looking to bounce back from our defeat to Inter in the Italian Super Cup last week, which continued a poor run of form in recent weeks.

With the pressure now building on us as we lose more ground on Serie A leaders Napoli, Pioli will know that we can’t afford to drop more points, and his task of returning home with a victory on Tuesday has become more difficult.
As per Antonio Vitiello, Hernandez hasn’t travelled with the rest of the squad as he has picked up a muscle issue in training. In turn, Milan have decided to avoid taking any risks with him and potentially aggravating the issue further, and so he will not feature in midweek.
It remains to be seen if it’s an issue that could keep him out of our clash with Sassuolo on Sunday too, but for now, it’s a blow in itself that Hernandez will not be available for what promises to be a difficult showdown with Maurizio Sarri’s side.
Hernandez, 25, hasn’t been at his best since the resumption of the season following the World Cup, and so this will be a disappointing and frustrating setback for him as he will no doubt be itching to make a bigger impact for us to help the team get back on track.
He’ll have to rest and receive treatment this week though and watch on as his teammates try to get back to winning ways, while it’s just a continuation of an ongoing problem for Milan where we simply can’t keep everyone fit and healthy.
The French international now joins Mike Maignan, Alessandro Florenzi, Fode Ballo-Toure and Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the treatment room, and in order to give ourselves the best possible chance of making a success of this season, it’s hoped that Pioli has as many options as possible at his disposal for the rest of the campaign.
