AC Milan continue to struggle with injury setbacks with Pietro Pellegri and Rafael Leao the latest to suffer blows.
The Rossoneri were without a string of key individuals for the win over Salernitana at the weekend, with the likes of Davide Calabria, Simon Kjaer, Ante Rebic and Olivier Giroud all absent.

In turn, particularly ahead of our Champions League clash with Liverpool on Tuesday night, Stefano Pioli would have been hoping for positive news on the injury front this week.
However, it appears as though he could be left with limited options again, with MilanNews reporting that Pellegri will be re-evaluated in 10 days after sustaining a muscle injury just 15 minutes into his first start for Milan on Saturday.
Further, Leao could also miss our upcoming games as he picked up a thigh/hamstring problem in the same game, and so it remains to be seen what his status is in midweek and beyond.
Given the quality that Liverpool possess, Milan needed to be as close to full strength as possible to try and secure all three points, which in turn might prove to be enough to seal our passage through to the knockout stage.
However, Pioli will be limited it seems and will have to make tweaks to his starting XI, and while we do still have a lot of quality and strength in depth in the squad, the odds seem further stacked against us in this encounter given the list of those who are set to miss out.
Nevertheless, we’ll hope to get the result needed on Tuesday and recover as many players as possible for the trip to Udinese on Saturday night, as there is still a lot of football to be played this season and it’s certainly on the medical staff now to improve the injury resistance work in training to avoid these issues hindering us throughout the campaign in our pursuit of silverware.
