AC Milan are reportedly set to welcome back both Fikayo Tomori and Ismael Bennacer for our Champions League clash with Tottenham on Tuesday.
The Rossoneri finally got back to winning ways last time out with a 1-0 victory over Torino on Friday night, and it’s hoped that Stefano Pioli and the players can now build on that and put together a positive run of form.

In order to have the best possible chance of doing that, the Milan boss will be desperate to get back to having as close to a fully-fit squad as possible at his disposal, and it appears as though we’re edging closer to that being a reality.
As reported by MilanNews, both Tomori and Bennacer took part in full group training on Sunday, and in turn are expected to be available for the first leg of our round-of-16 tie against Spurs at San Siro on Tuesday night.
Given the experience, quality and leadership that the pair provide in the backbone of the side, it’s an important double boost moving forward and it’s hoped that they can rediscover their best form to play influential roles as we look to build on our win on Friday.
That said, it remains to be seen if they are deemed match fit enough to start, or if they will return to the bench initially.
Coupled with Zlatan Ibrahimovic returning to the bench for that encounter with Torino, as well as Mike Maignan said to be closing in on a return to being available for selection again, there is a lot of positive news coming off the pitch for the Rossoneri currently, and it’s hoped that these key individuals can be important for us in the coming months.
Milan face a trip to Monza next Saturday as we continue to battle for a top-four finish in Serie A this season, and so with a busy fixture schedule ahead as we compete on two fronts, it’s vital that we get our key players back and keep them healthy moving forward.
