AC Milan have held a meeting with the agent of Francesco Camarda to discuss the next best step in his development.
The 17-year-old is considered to be one of the top young talents at the club currently having bagged plenty of goals at youth level, while he’s earned 16 appearances for the first-team after making his breakthrough last year.

At this stage of his career though, it’s pivotal that he gets regular playing time to continue to develop and improve his game through gaining experience and adapting to a higher level of football, and so a loan move would arguably be the best option for him in the upcoming campaign.
As per Antonio Vitiello, a meeting was held between the club and his agent on Tuesday, and the idea is to send him out on loan either in Serie A or Serie B, and a decision is expected next week to determine where he’ll spend next season.
That is undoubtedly the most sensible strategy for Camarda’s development, and it’s crucial that we get the landing spot for him right to give him the best possible chance of playing consistent minutes and in a team where he has the environment and squad to flourish.
Massimiliano Allegri has decisions to make on our frontline this summer with Santiago Gimenez set to be assessed over pre-season, while Tammy Abraham will likely return to Roma and Luka Jovic should be allowed to move on so we can try and upgrade.
In turn, it could be argued that there might be an opening for Camarda to provide depth and competition for places, especially with Milan only focusing on domestic competitions next season, but should he spend most of the year on the bench, that would stunt his progress and risk setting him back.
A loan would be best, and it’s hoped that we get clarity on that next week.
