AC Milan and the rest of the Serie A clubs learned their fixture schedule for the 2021/22 season on Wednesday.
Given we’ll have to play all 19 sides twice at some point across the campaign, the clamour to discover who we play and when seems a little pointless.

Nevertheless, making a positive start and finishing strong are perhaps two important stages of the season, and so it was interesting to learn who will be facing during those two periods in particular.
As seen in the tweet below, Milan have a relatively difficult start to the upcoming campaign as we play Juventus and Lazio within the first four games of the season, and so Stefano Pioli and the players will need to be in top condition and on form to ensure we make a fast start.
Naturally, we’ll be fighting for a top-four finish in Serie A again this season to cement ourselves as a Champions League side, and the competition will be as fierce as ever given the quality of the coaches and players at our rivals.
Nevertheless, as we continue to try and strengthen the squad this summer, it’s hoped that we’ll have enough to be competitive on multiple fronts and successfully challenge for the Scudetto as well as make a positive impression in the Champions League.
For now though, the focus is on pre-season and getting ready for Sampdoria away on August 22, as Milan look ahead to what will hopefully prove to be another successful year in which we continue to make progression and move in the right direction to get back to the level we wish to be at on a regular basis.
