Milan announce key January signing, contract detail confirmed

AC Milan have confirmed the signing of Filippo Terracciano from Verona as we look to strengthen Stefano Pioli’s squad this month.

The 20-year-old came through the youth ranks at Verona before going on to make 41 appearances for the senior side, 19 of which have come this season, as he had established himself as a vital figure for the Gialloblu.

Aside from his youth, potential and qualities on and off the ball, Terracciano also boasts versatility having featured in a number of positions this year, and particularly in the short-term with our injury concerns in mind, that will undoubtedly be a useful boost for Pioli in the coming weeks and months.

Nevertheless, as per the club’s statement, the defensive ace has signed a contract until June 2028 and so it’s a long-term solution and important piece that we’ve hopefully added to the squad, while it’s also confirmed that Terracciano will wear the No.38 jersey.

Time will tell just how quickly he can adapt and integrate as we await his debut, while it remains to be seen just how active the Rossoneri intend on being this month in improving the group and trying to help us become increasingly competitive.

Evidently though, Terracciano has caught the eye of the management and scouting departments with what he can offer, and so it’s hoped that he can be a positive influence for the foreseeable future as we look to build a squad capable of competing both domestically and in Europe in the coming years.

As a homegrown player, that will likely also prove to be a valuable aspect of the move for Milan, but with his tenacity, energy, desire and technical ability, he’ll hopefully quickly become a fans favourite and an important addition.
