Milan announce crucial signing with key details confirmed, touted transfer fee

AC Milan have confirmed the signing of midfielder Ardon Jashari from Club Brugge after a lengthy pursuit of the Swiss international this summer.

The 23-year-old established himself as a pivotal figure for the Belgian outfit after joining them in July 2024, while he has also earned four caps for Switzerland as he emerges as a key player for club and country.

As per the Rossoneri’s statement, we’ve now completed his signing, while Jashari has put pen to paper on a contract until June 2030.

Further, it’s confirmed that he will wear the No.30 shirt, as he becomes another crucial addition to our midfield after the signings of Samuele Ricci and Luka Modric already this summer.

Although Milan didn’t reveal the transfer fee involved, Fabrizio Romano reports that the deal will be worth €39m in total, and so after seemingly never-ending talks and setbacks in our pursuit of Jashari, we’ve now finally landed another key signing for Massimiliano Allegri as part of his rebuild ahead of his second stint in charge.

While the delay in his arrival has prevented the midfield ace from settling in over the summer and adapting over a longer period of time, it’s hoped that he can integrate quickly with Milan’s season getting underway next weekend against Bari in the Coppa Italia.

That’s quickly followed by our Serie A opener at home against Cremonese the following weekend, and so time will tell if he’s ready to come straight into the fold, or if Allegri will gradually integrate him into the side in the coming weeks.

It’s been a fascinating summer thus far with plenty of incomings and outgoings as the Italian tactician moulds the squad into his own, but after such bitter disappointment last season, it’s hoped that our recruitment proves to be much more efficient and effective this time round with sporting director Igli Tare in place overseeing our strategy in the transfer market.

For Jashari though, he finally gets his move to Milan, and it’s hoped that he can establish himself as a fundamental figure in our success moving forward.
