AC Milan are reportedly set to open talks with Manchester United in the coming days to explore a possible deal for Marcus Rashford.
There’s no denying that the 27-year-old has struggled to hit top form in the last two years, as he has seven goals and three assists in 24 appearances so far this season and currently finds himself out of the team.

It was a similar story last year, as he has failed to hit the heights he reached in the 2022/23 campaign when he scored 30 goals and had nine assists in 56 outings.
Amid ongoing speculation over his future as it had been suggested that he was ready for a new challenge, Sky Sport report that Milan will open talks with Man Utd in the coming days to determine if there are grounds for a deal to be done.
It’s noted though that his wages could be a major stumbling block, and so it would take the Premier League giants to contribute towards his salary to make a move happen.
Time will tell if they are willing to do that or not and if terms can be agreed, but it could be an intriguing addition for Sergio Conceicao to give us another attacking option.
From Rashford’s perspective, a fresh start could be exactly what he needs to get his career back on track, and getting away from England may be the best thing for him to focus on his football and remove himself from the distractions and criticism he faces.
For Milan, with his pace, ability to create and goalscoring threat when he is in form, he could be a valuable asset to have and an upgrade on what we currently have in wide areas and up front to complement Rafael Leao on the left flank.
That said, we aren’t short of options already with Alvaro Morata, Tammy Abraham, Luka Jovic, Noah Okafor, Samuel Chukwueze and Christian Pulisic all available and battling for places under Conceicao, and so we’d surely need to create space in the squad with an exit first.
It remains to be seen if anything comes of these touted discussions with Man Utd, but it will be intriguing to see if Rashford finds himself with us on a temporary basis for the second half of the campaign with a point to prove.
