AC Milan are reportedly making progress in their plan to secure the signings of Alvaro Morata, Youssouf Fofana and Strahinja Pavlovic this summer.
After an underwhelming season last year which ultimately led to the decision to replace Stefano Pioli, the Rossoneri will look to help Paulo Fonseca mould the squad into his own with reinforcements in the coming weeks and months.

Unsurprisingly, a whole host of names have been linked with a move to join us as part of that process, but it seems as though our strategy in the transfer market is becoming a little clearer.
According to Antonio Vitiello, the expectation is that Milan will wrap up the signing of Morata next week after EURO 2024 has concluded, with the Spanish international set to put pen to paper on a four-year contract as he looks set to leave Atletico Madrid.
Importantly though, Vitiello adds that agreements in principle have been reached with the agents of both Fofana and Pavlovic, and so the next step, and a crucial one at that, will be to agree on deals with Monaco and RB Salzburg respectively to ensure the transfers materialise.
After losing both Olivier Giroud and Simon Kjaer this summer, and coupled with our ongoing need to strengthen our midfield, this possible triple signing would be smart business from the club, with the expectation that Fonseca is heavily involved in the recruitment process from the standpoint that any new arrival suits his ideas and style of play.
Morata is vastly experienced, and albeit he hasn’t set the world alight with his goalscoring record previously, he can certainly find the back of the net, and is capable of being an important presence up top in leading the line and giving us a focal point in the final third.
As for Fofana, he would add physicality and athleticism to the Milan midfield, which is currently lacking from a defensive perspective, while Pavlovic would be a pivotal signing to help shore things up at the back after a porous backline last season was a key area of weakness and vulnerability.
What has emerged in recent days too though is that Milan are looking for another striker in addition to Morata, and MilanNews report that Niclas Fullkrug could be an option as an alternative to Tammy Abraham, who has been paired with a move to San Siro this week.
Given Luka Jovic is currently our only senior option to play up front, that plan from Milan would make a lot of sense, and so it’s hoped that we can add significant firepower to the group between now and the end of the window to help us compete on multiple fronts next season.
It promises to be a fascinating summer on and off the pitch for the Rossoneri, as it’s hoped that we see real change in order to help make us much more competitive in the upcoming campaign and beyond.
