AC Milan transfer targets Sven Botman, Renato Sanches and Enzo Fernandez are reportedly all waiting for the club’s management issues to be resolved before making a decision on their respective futures.
The Rossoneri are currently in talks over the renewals of deals for Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara, and so until that has been confirmed, it seems our transfer business this summer is on hold.

That in turn has led to a frustrating waiting period where we should instead arguably be acting swiftly to build on our success from last season, but ultimately it’s about being patient for now until the first important issue is resolved.
Milan transfers on hold until Maldini, Massara renewals confirmed
According to Sky Sport Italia, via MilanNews, it’s reported that the renewals are expected to be confirmed this week, at which point we can get on with securing reinforcements for Stefano Pioli’s squad.
It’s added that Botman, Sanches and Fernandez are all waiting for Milan’s intentions to become clearer before deciding their next move, with Botman and Sanches in particular said to be keen on joining the reigning Serie A champions.
With that in mind, it’s hoped that Milan can move forward quickly and start getting deals done sooner rather than later, not only to avoid seeing our targets potentially move elsewhere, but to provide a clearer picture on how we’re strengthening Pioli’s squad and what he can expect and plan to work with next season.
Following Franck Kessie’s exit, Sanches would be a top replacement for him in midfield, while Botman would further bolster a backline that has become a real strength of the side.
No Milan contact with Dybala
Meanwhile, it’s also added by MilanNews via Gianluca Di Marzio, that although free agent Paulo Dybala could consider his options away from Inter as they haven’t yet made a possible swoop this summer, Milan have had no direct contact with the Argentine playmaker amid speculation linking us with a move.
Dybala would arguably make a lot of sense given our lack of creative quality in the final third as we look to upgrade our options for the No.10 role and right wing, and so it remains to be seen if he does ultimately emerge as a possible option as a move to Inter would of course be a blow in terms of strengthening a direct rival for the Scudetto next season.
Nevertheless, for what we need and albeit his wages might be an issue, Dybala would perhaps tick a lot of the right boxes.
