With that in mind, it’s imperative that we get back to winning ways immediately, especially against a side that has made up significant ground on us and is firmly in the hunt for Champions League qualification themselves.
Pioli was dealt a blow against Sassuolo as he was without a number of pivotal individuals, and the early reports suggest that he may not receive great news on the whole ahead of our trip to Rome.
As reported by MilanNews, via Sky Sport Italia, Ibrahimovic trained on his own on Thursday and is a doubt for the clash with Lazio, and the same is said of Hernandez.
Both will hope to see their respective condition improve in the coming days, and it’s added that a decision will be taken late on their involvement in our next outing.
However, there is a more positive update on Ismael Bennacer who was also absent on Wednesday evening, as it’s suggested in the report above that our midfield star is expected to recover in time to feature against the Biancocelesti.
Getting the Algerian international back will be a huge boost in itself given what he brings to the team in that department through his partnership with Franck Kessie.
That said, this is a damaging time to be without key individuals like Ibrahimovic and Hernandez, and so the hope from a Milan perspective is that they can all recover in time to play some part as the Rossoneri can’t afford to drop points against Lazio.
