AC Milan are reportedly in ongoing talks over contract renewals for both Francesco Camarda and Christian Comotto.
The talented young duo have both come through our youth ranks where they’ve made a positive impression, and the hope is that they will go on to keep developing and improving to become top players who fulfil their potential.
It certainly seems as though following the arrival of Ruben Amorim this summer that our youth products will get opportunities to make a breakthrough with the first-team squad, and there is a clear intention to secure both Camarda and Comotto’s futures to avoid seeing them move on and potentially flourish elsewhere like many of our young talents in the past.

According to MilanNews, a meeting was held on Tuesday involving Milan officials and the agent of both Camarda and Comotto, and although no agreement has yet been reached for either to put pen to paper on a contract renewal, it is made clear that both sides want to continue together.
It’s added that work is continuing to extend both players until June 2031, with Mattia Liberali specifically mentioned as a scenario we now wish to avoid moving forward as he looks to flourish at Como next season having snubbed the chance to come back to the Rossoneri.
The lack of a pathway and opportunities saw him depart initially, and so until there is a clear change in culture and approach with regards to our youth players, it will likely continue to repeat itself moving forward.
Nevertheless, with their agent, Beppe Riso, also stating the intention on their side being to renew with Milan, it’s hoped that we see both Camarda and Comotto sign new deals soon, and hopefully if they can impress over pre-season, they’ll be part of Amorim’s plans in the upcoming campaign along with some of our other young talents looking to push on and make a positive impact.
