AC Milan have officially announced the signing of Tiemoue Bakayoko from Chelsea on loan, turning into an obligation if certain conditions are met.
The Rossoneri secured the signing of Sandro Tonali on a permanent basis earlier this summer, as he now forms the core of the midfield group alongside Franck Kessie and Ismael Bennacer.

However, with Tommaso Pobega moving on this summer, it was expected that the club would move to sign another midfielder.
As per Milan’s official site, it has been announced that Bakayoko has returned and he has signed on a two-year loan deal, although it could become an obligation to buy him from Chelsea depending on whether certain conditions are met.
Time will tell whether or not they are, but after his positive spell last time he was with us on a temporary basis, Bakayoko will be hoping to produce more of the same as he battles for a starting berth this season.
Given the names mentioned above, he is likely to start behind Kessie, Bennacer and Tonali in the pecking order, but as we go for glory in Serie A, the Coppa Italia and the Champions League, we’re going to need cover and competition, while the former two will miss time this season due to their international commitments too.
In turn, it’s a sensible move from Milan and it gives Stefano Pioli another commanding and physically imposing option in the centre of his midfield, and so it remains to be seen just how impactful Bakayoko can be this year.
