AC Milan have confirmed that Ismael Bennacer has signed a contract renewal that extends his stay at the club until June 2027.
The 25-year-old has established himself as a fundamental figure in the Rossoneri midfield, making 129 appearances since his move from Empoli in 2019.

Having continued to improve and develop his all-round game to have a growing influence in both phases for us, to produce consistently and now deliver at the top level having helped us progress to win a Serie A title and return to the Champions League, it was imperative that Milan secured Bennacer’s long-term future.
As per the club’s statement, we’ve now done that as he has agreed a new deal that runs until June 2027, and it’s hoped that we can continue to build around him and maintain our level of success in the coming years.
His partnership with Sandro Tonali is now forming the heart of the Milan midfield, and the pair have the ability and chemistry to be the foundation of our success moving forward. In turn, the contract announcement is a big moment to keep the key pieces together.
Milan boss Stefano Pioli will no doubt be delighted, and it comes at a good time for the squad too given our disappointment over the past week after the results against Roma and Torino.
“I am very proud to continue with Milan,” Bennacer told MilanTV, as per MilanNews. “I am part of this family and I want to give even more for the team, the fans and the club. The fans give us more and more, I’m very happy because I feel there is something special between me and them.”
It’s hoped that news of Bennacer’s renewal provides a lift for the group as we prepare to face Lecce this weekend, looking to get back on track and build momentum again.
In the bigger picture though, this is great news for the club given how important Bennacer is in our plans, and while we’ve already seen him come a long way from the player that joined us in 2019, at 25 years of age, he still has plenty more room for improvement and development, and it should be a joy to watch that process play out in a Milan shirt in the next few years.
