Diaz, 21, enjoyed a decent season with us last year on his initial loan move, scoring seven goals and providing four assists in 39 appearances.

As per the club’s official site, he’s now back on a two-year loan move, and he’ll wear the No.10 jersey in the upcoming campaign.
It’s a big move for the Spanish playmaker, one that will require of him a step up to take his game to the next level and become the lead creative spark in the side.
Great move, big year for Brahim Diaz at Milan
Firstly, there is genuine happiness to see Diaz return and join up with the squad again after playing a key role in helping us secure Champions League qualification last season.
He produced crucial moments, particularly late on in the campaign, namely his stunning strike away at Juventus which had us all believing again after thinking the chance of a top-four finish might be slipping away.
Stefano Pioli trusted Diaz in big games and he often delivered what his coach asked of him, and so in many ways it’s no surprise to see him return and reunite with the Milan boss.
However, that was then, and this is now. Milan are back in the Champions League and while we want to be competitive in Europe, we must also now cement ourselves as a perennial top-four side in Italy and one that is capable of challenging for the Scudetto.
With Hakan Calhanoglu moving on, Diaz takes the vacated No.10 shirt and steps into that role. That’s a  change that comes with significant pressure and responsibility, and he’ll have to prove that he is ready to meet that challenge head on by delivering on the pitch consistently.
There is a sense of frustration over the terms of the deal in that it’s a temporary move and so he could ultimately return to Real Madrid in 2023, but we’ll leave criticism of the details for another time.
For Diaz, the next two seasons represent an opportunity to become a real star and leader of this Milan team, to fulfil his potential and take this team onto the next stage. The platform is there for him, the Rossoneri have laid the foundations, now it’s over to him to prove he warrants such a pivotal role in the side.
Milan fans will be craving consistent quality in the final third and importantly an end product. Diaz has the ability, desire and work ethic, now he must showcase it and prove that the responsibility and pressure isn’t too much for him.
