AC Milan face Atalanta on Sunday night, and there is mixed news on the injury front for Stefano Pioli.
The Rossoneri will be looking to bounce back after our defeat to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League in midweek, while also attempting to maintain our impressive start in Serie A.

As things stand, we’re currently in second place in the standings, just two points adrift of leaders Napoli after six games, with five wins and a draw on the board.
However, we face another difficult assignment this weekend as we make the trip to Bergamo to face Atalanta, and Pioli will be without a couple of key players while also welcoming some important individuals into the squad too.
As per MilanNews, Alessandro Florenzi is set to undergo an operation on his knee and further details on his recovery time will be provided after the procedure is completed on Friday.
Both Rade Krunic and Tiemoue Bakayoko have now stepped up their respective recoveries and have moved on to the next phase as they look to reintegrate back into the squad, while Messias Jr, Simon Kjaer and Brahim Diaz are all available on Sunday.
However, although Zlatan Ibrahimovic is said to be improving, he will once again be absent this weekend and so it’s hoped that he’s ready to return after the international break and resume being our influential talisman up front as soon as possible.
It’s a mixed bag of news, but ultimately there is still plenty of quality and experience in the squad heading to Atalanta which in turn means a positive result is certainly possible as we look to keep up the pace at the top of the Serie A table.
